Making a decsion without all the information

I’m very quick to make assumptions about people and events without fully considering the entire context of the decision. Naturally, as I’ve said many times on this site, I often compare myself to others and assume the worst in myself. This creates a lot of unnecessary anxiety.

More often or not, I make assumptions about people based on skewed evidence and personal insecurities. This is wrong!

Think about it like this, you wouldn’t buy something like a house or a car (insert other major purchase here) without considering all the important details, so why would you do the same with others?

I understand that there will be times when you may not get the whole picture (incomplete information). For this reason, it is reasonable to assume nothing and not to reply on my own biased way of thinking. This could get be into trouble, as it has done many times before in the past.

You need to get to know others in order to see the bigger picture. It is often very different from what we imagine.
