In the midst of everyone else’s success, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by feelings of jealousy and anger when we compare our lives to other people’s.
The greatest joy should come from my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, but from time to time, I’ll trip up.
I turn to other people and society for justification.
This will inevitably result in failure.
Just remind yourself that others have been through your struggles and difficulties. Don’t forget that Jesus himself was troubled (although, not with the same things)
In every situation, whenever you do get angry or jealous of other people’s lives, remind yourself of the great sacrifice Christ made to free you from the sin that anger causes. In every situation, turn back with love!
“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” I Corinthians 13:4-7 NKJV
