Far too often, I think we are far too quick to rely on ourselves, other people and the things of this world.
I know for sure that because of my sinful tendencies (and I know too well what the big ones our) I’ve taken God out of the picture and I’m not pursuing Godliness in my life.
This is the reason I feel cut off from God
Not because He doesn’t exist or He’s left me but because of the sin I’ve made which has blurred my perspective of God.
I’ve fine-tuned my life to such an extent that I’ve looked to other things for support and not looked to God like I should have done!
I’m the one that has turned, not God
It’s time to turn back to Christ as my role model and provider.
Looking at Job’s character
Job is a good example of a character who had every reason to turn away from God yet he kept going.
With all the things going on in His life, he could have done what anyone else in our age would and shout back.
Despite the work of the devil, Job kept praising God no matter what!
Oh, how I wish (and pray) that I may do the same.
When life’s circumstances get in the way, praise God for who he is.
