Today was one of those random days where I learnt something super important that was of no relevance to what I was doing.
Today, I realised that dating is a lot like learning to drive.
At first, you are nervous and know very little of what to do. You slowly make progress but every now and then you make a big mistake. Overall though you are still gaining more knowledge and confidence.
Similarly, you will find that people just naturally pick up the ability and take off. They get there licence before you and still have to take the lessons.
This is no different from dating in many ways.
You are at a point where you know nothing, to becoming an expert. And you go from feeling incredibly nervous to fully confident and super excited.
In this journey, you will find that people get there before you.
This was true for me at least.
Like dating and singleness, I was so caught up with the idea of getting my licence as I couldn’t stand being the only one who hasn’t passed their test.
Having passed my test for years now, I can safely look back and wonder what the fuss was all about.
