I frequently find that there are times where I fail to get something and everyone else understands it. I think what gets me the most is that I feel that it is obvious to everyone else that I am a slow learner.
I don’t know if this is the best move or not, but I have decided to quit my language sessions after I felt like I was publicly humiliated today because I didn’t pronounce words correct which other were producing correctly.
A slow learner does not mean that you are stupid!
Never has “The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard” been so relevant. Even though it appears that others are better off than me and have picked up far more than what I have, I have still succeeded in getting what I want from life. I’m doing something that I love and I’m naturally good at!
Even though my upbringing was rough, the long term has proven to be beneficial
“So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”
Slow and steady wins the race.
