If there is one thingif have understood today is that I am needed and appreciated.
Given my work, I have recently understood that my say is equally as valid as that of a researcher.
People needed me and they took my views seriously!
So why don’t you put this into practice with your personal life?
You are the only one who doesn’t support yourself!
Often enough, you’re very quick to put yourself down!
I also learnt that I don’t take myself as seriously as I should.
Far too often I’m quick to say things like “You don’t understand anyone, and they don’t understand you” and “you’re trapped in your social box and you’ll forever by lonely and single”.
Stop telling yourself these things as it will turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy!
Instead of saying “you’re trapped socially” say “you’re making great progress and you have come so far”
Instead of saying “you’ll forever by lonely” say “given time and pateients, you will meet the right person”
The uncertainty of this does my head in but just know, there is a whole world of opportunities out there. At home and elsewhere.
Be excited!
